Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

MXV4-560 Jason Megadyne Super Duty Garden Belt
The Jason Megadyne Super Duty MXV4-560 is a 4L section lawn and garden V-belt with a 56″ (1422mm) outside length. It’s the equivalent of a 4L560. It’s the super-duty Jason belt, now part of Megadyne.
Jason was founded in 1958 and was long known for power transmission belts. Megadyne acquired Jason in 2007, and these MXV super-duty garden belts continue under Megadyne. The aramid tensile member gives excellent shock resistance, the bare-back cover gives smooth engagement and release on clutching drives, and the synthetic rubber resists oil and heat.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked MXV4-560. It may also be listed as 4L560. On garden belts the number is the outside length in tenths of an inch, so 4L560 is 56″ round the outside.
- If the markings have worn off, measure round the outside of the belt with a tape (a worn belt may measure slightly long), or call us with your machine model or the maker’s part number.
- Garden belts are often listed by the machine maker’s part number. We can cross-reference it for you.
