Belt type S2M Supertorque timing belts

2mm pitch · Supertorque (STD) teeth · Metric sizes

S2M belts use the Supertorque (STD) tooth, a modified round tooth that carries more torque, runs more quietly and positions more accurately than a standard HTD belt of the same pitch. You’ll find them on small automation, printers and instruments. Search by the code on the old belt, such as S2M-200-6, and use the filters to narrow it down by length or width.

Finding the right S2M belt

Reading the codeS2M-200-6 is a S2M belt with a 200mm pitch length and a 6mm width. The S at the front tells you it’s the Supertorque profile.

Counting teethPitch length divided by 2mm gives the tooth count, so a 200mm S2M belt has 100 teeth.

Supertorque or HTD?An S2M belt has the same 2mm pitch as an 2M HTD belt, but the teeth are shaped differently and need S-profile pulleys. Replace like for like; if the old belt has no S in the code, it’s probably HTD.

Tip: Belts cut to width or length to order can’t be returned unless faulty, so check the pitch, length and width before ordering.

  • No code?Measure the pitch, count the teeth and measure the width. Our how to measure guide shows you how.
