Cogged Wedge Belts

Cogged wedge belts

Cogged wedge belts have notches moulded into the underside, so they bend round smaller pulleys, run cooler and transmit more power than smooth wedge belts. Choose a section, or search by the code on your old belt, such as XPZ1250.

Choosing the right cogged wedge belt

Cogged wedge belts are sized the same way as smooth wedge belts, and run in the same pulleys.

  • Same pulleysAn XP belt runs in the same pulleys as its smooth SP equivalent, so an XPZ1250 can usually replace an SPZ1250 directly.
  • Why cogged? The cogs reduce bending stress and heat on small pulleys, which can extend belt life and cut energy use on drives that run for long hours.
  • Super XE-Power PROOptibelt’s premium cogged wedge belt can often carry more power in fewer belts, making it ideal for upgrading demanding drives.
