Timing belts Open length belting

Rubber · Polyurethane · Metric · Imperial · Sold by the metre

Open length timing belting, also called open-ended belting, is supplied cut to length rather than as a joined loop. It’s used where the belt is clamped at each end, such as linear actuators, sliding doors and gates, printers, packaging machines and positioning drives, and for repairs where an endless belt can’t be fitted. Choose rubber or polyurethane, then metric or imperial, and filter by profile and width.

Rubber or polyurethane?

Rubber beltingFlexible and quiet, and good value for light linear drives, doors and general machinery. Made in the classic metric HTD and imperial MXL, XL, L and H profiles.

Polyurethane beltingTougher and more precise, with steel or aramid cords for very low stretch. The usual choice for accurate positioning, conveying and packaging, and resistant to oil and abrasion.

Clamp platesClamp plates fix each end of the belt to the carriage or slide. Choose plates that match the belt profile and width.

Per metre or fixed length: most belting is sold per metre, so the quantity you order is the length you get. Some listings are pre-cut fixed lengths, such as 3000mm, and say so in the title.
