Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

This is Megadyne polyurethane open length timing belting in the RPP5 profile, 15mm wide, made by Megadyne, the Italian belt manufacturer. Open length belting is supplied cut to length rather than as a joined loop, for drives where the belt is clamped at each end. It’s made from polyurethane, which is tough, very low-stretch and resistant to oil, grease and abrasion. Polyurethane belting is the usual choice for linear actuators, positioning drives, conveyors and packaging machines.

How long is it?
This is one 3250mm piece. If you need a different length, buy the same belting by the metre instead.
Will it fit my pulleys?
The profile must match your pulleys exactly. Check the code on the old belt, such as RPP5, or measure across ten teeth and divide by ten to find the pitch.
Do I need clamp plates?
To fix the belt ends to a carriage or slide, use clamp plates that match the RPP5 profile and are at least as wide as the belt.
