Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

1587-3M-9 Optibelt Omega Timing Belt
The Optibelt Omega 1587-3M-9 is a 3M timing belt with a 3mm pitch, a 1587mm pitch length, 529 teeth and a width of 9mm. It’s made by Optibelt, our premier brand.
Optibelt Omega timing belts have a fibreglass tension cord, a polychloroprene body and a special tooth fabric that raises efficiency and power. They resist high temperatures, transmit power steadily in heat and cold, and are maintenance-free once correctly tensioned. They suit synchronous power and positioning drives.
It runs on standard HTD and RPP pulleys in the 3M profile, so no special pulleys are needed.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 1587-3M-9 (or 1587 3M 9). 1587 is the pitch length in mm, 3M the profile and 9 the width in mm.
- If the marking has worn off, count the teeth: this belt has 529. Multiply by 3mm to get the pitch length.
