Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

2450-14MHL-170 Optibelt Omega HL (High Load) Timing Belt
The Optibelt Omega HL (High Load) 2450-14MHL-170 is a 14M timing belt with a 14mm pitch, a 2450mm pitch length, 175 teeth and a width of 170mm. It’s made by Optibelt, our premier brand.
Optibelt Omega High Load, still widely known and marked as Omega HL, delivers up to 30% more performance than Omega High Power in Optibelt’s dynamic tests. Its reinforced fibreglass tension cord has a higher breaking strength and stands up to medium and heavy shock loads. The back is an aramid-reinforced polychloroprene compound and the teeth have a low-noise fabric facing. It runs at up to 98% efficiency from −30°C to +100°C, has limited oil resistance and is electrically conductive to ISO 9563. It is the choice for shock-loaded drives on textile machines, machine tools, compressors, printing, woodworking and paper machines.
It runs on standard HTD and RPP pulleys in the 14M profile, so no special pulleys are needed.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 2450 14MHL 170 on older belts, or 2450-14M-170 Omega High Load on newer ones. 2450 is the pitch length in mm, 14M the profile and 170 the width in mm.
- If the marking has worn off, count the teeth: this belt has 175. Multiply by 14mm to get the pitch length.
