Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

SPZ2300 Dunlop Wedge V-Belt
The Dunlop SPZ2300 is an SPZ section wrapped wedge belt, 9.7mm wide with a 2300mm pitch length. It’s a good-value replacement belt for fans, pumps, compressors and light to medium industrial drives.
Wedge belts carry more power than classical V-belts of a similar width, so drives can use smaller pulleys and fewer belts. Dunlop wedge belts are made to BS 3790 and DIN 7753, with a specially treated cover that resists heat and oil and is antistatic to ISO 1813.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked SPZ2300. The letters are the section and the number is the pitch length in mm. Measure 9.7mm across the top and 8mm deep.
- Wedge belts are deeper than classical belts of a similar width, so check the depth as well as the width.
