Taper lock bushes
Taper lock bushes fit taper lock pulleys and sprockets to the shaft, and release easily for maintenance. Choose metric or imperial bores, or search by bush size and bore, such as 1610-25mm.
Choosing the right bush
Two things decide which bush you need: the bush size and the bore.
- Bush sizeThe size, such as 1610 or 2012, must match the pulley. It’s shown in brackets in the pulley code, such as SPZ 100 X 2 Groove (1610).
- BoreThe bore must match your shaft. Metric shafts take millimetre bores; imperial shafts take inch bores with an imperial keyway.
- FittingTighten the screws evenly and in steps, recheck after the first few hours, and grease the spare holes to make removal easier.
