V & wedge belt pulleys
Cast iron V and wedge belt pulleys in SPZ, SPA, SPB and SPC sections, with a taper lock hub or a pilot bore to machine to your shaft. Choose a section, or search by the pulley code, such as SPZ 100 X 2 Groove (1610).
Choosing the right V or wedge pulley
Three things decide which pulley you need: the belt section, the size and grooves, and how it fits the shaft.
- Section and groovesMatch the pulley to your belt section, then count the belts for the number of grooves. SPZ 100 X 2 is an SPZ pulley, 100mm pitch diameter, 2 grooves.
- Taper lock or pilot bore?Taper lock pulleys fit with a separate bush, so one pulley suits many shaft sizes. Pilot bore pulleys need boring and keywaying to your shaft.
- Matching the bushThe bush size is in brackets in each taper lock pulley code, such as (1610). Choose that bush with a bore to fit your shaft.
SPZ pulleys
The most common wedge pulley, for motors, pumps, fans and air handling units.
SPA pulleys
For larger motors, compressors and supply and extract fans.
SPB pulleys
For heavier drives, big fans, cooling towers and crushers.
SPC pulleys
For heavy, high-power drives and large process machinery.

Bushes to fit taper lock pulleys to your shaft, in metric and imperial bores.
