Automotive V-belts
AVX belts are raw-edge, cogged V-belts made for engine drives on cars, vans, tractors and plant: alternators, fans, water pumps and compressors. Choose a section, or search by the code on your old belt, such as AVX13x1025.
Choosing the right automotive V-belt
AVX belts are sized by their top width and outside length, and are made to ISO 2790 and DIN 7753 part 3.
- Reading the codeIn AVX13x1025, 13 is the top width in mm and 1025 the outside length in mm (sometimes marked La).
- Not an industrial beltAVX10 and AVX13 are close in width to ZX, XPZ, AX and XPA belts, but they’re made for automotive pulleys and aren’t interchangeable with them. Replace like for like.
- Code worn off?Measure the top width of the belt to tell AVX10 from AVX13, then measure round the outside for the length.
AVX10 section
10mm wide, for lighter engine drives such as alternators and water pumps on cars and small engines.
AVX13 section
13mm wide, for heavier engine drives on vans, trucks, tractors and plant.
