SodiKart 50mm & 30mm Axle Drive Belt – Optibelt Omega HP 8M, 800 x 33mm (Upgraded Width)

This is an upgraded-width drive belt for SodiKart karts with a 50 mm or 30 mm axle. It’s an Optibelt Omega HP (High Power) 8M timing belt, 800 mm long with 100 teeth, made by Optibelt, the German belt manufacturer and our premier brand.

Why the 33 mm width? It’s 3 mm wider than a standard 30 mm belt, so there’s 10% more belt width and tooth contact sharing the load. Combined with Omega HP’s high power construction, that means more grip on the pulleys and a belt that copes better with the hard starts and constant laps of a rental kart.

Why Optibelt Omega HP?

Is it a genuine SodiKart part?
No. It’s an Optibelt belt made to the same 8M profile and length, in the upgraded 33 mm width. It’s made and supplied by Optibelt, not SodiKart, and carries Optibelt’s markings.

Will a 33 mm belt fit my kart?
It suits SodiKart karts with a 50 mm or 30 mm axle. Before fitting, check the pulleys have room for the extra 3 mm of width, so the belt runs fully on the teeth without rubbing a flange or guard. If you’re unsure, call us.

How do I check it’s the right belt?
Read the code on the back of the old belt, or measure it: it should be an 8M belt, 800 mm long and 30 or 33 mm wide, with 100 teeth.

When should I replace it?
Check the belt at every service. Replace it if the teeth are worn, cracked or missing, the edges are frayed, or the belt has stretched and won’t hold tension.
