Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

The Optibelt RBK 4EPK917 is an elastic EPDM automotive ribbed (Poly-V) belt with 4 ribs at a 3.56mm rib pitch, an effective length of 917mm and an overall width of about 14.2mm.
It’s an elastic ribbed belt, made for drives with no tensioner, where the belt’s own stretch provides the tension. It must be fitted with the correct tool, and it can’t be used in place of a standard PK belt, or the other way round. Optibelt RBK belts are dimensionally stable, damp vibration and suit modern engines with small pulleys and tight layouts. Optibelt is our premier brand.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 4EPK917 (or 4 EPK 917). 4 is the number of ribs, EPK the profile and 917 the effective length in mm.
- Count the ribs on the underside of the old belt: this one has 4. The second picture shows how to count them.
- Elastic belts have an E in the part number (EPK). Only replace an EPK belt with another EPK belt.
