Measuring Your Belt
Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

Optibelt Optimat OEV 17mm Plate Connector
Optibelt Optimat OEV plate connectors for 17mm Optimat OE punched V-belting, priced per connector. Each connector joins the two ends of a length of belting to make an endless V-belt. They fit both the red and the green Optimat belting.
The plates are pre-bent, so they aren’t strained even at the tightest bend the belt tension allows, and they’re light, which keeps centrifugal forces down at high belt speeds for smooth, shock-free running.
