Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

Elatech Eagle open length timing belting in the 8M profile, 16mm wide. It’s made from white thermoplastic polyurethane with steel tension cords, and the teeth are faced with grey polyamide (PAZ) fabric, which lowers friction and gives smoother, quieter tooth engagement. The Eagle’s helical offset tooth makes it self-tracking, so the drive needs no pulley flanges, and it runs much more quietly than a straight-tooth belt. Used on linear positioning drives, door and lift operators, and medium power transmission.

Questions
Will it run on standard 8M pulleys?
No. The Eagle has a helical offset tooth, so it needs Eagle 8M pulleys. It won’t mesh with straight-tooth HTD or RPP 8M pulleys.
Do I need clamp plates?
To fix the belt ends to a carriage or slide, use clamp plates made for the Eagle 8M profile. Call us if you’re not sure which to use.
