Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

8V1900 Optibelt SK V-Belt
The Optibelt SK 8V1900 is a 8V section American narrow wedge belt, 25.4mm wide with a 190″ (4826mm) effective length. It fits American 8V section pulleys and is made by Optibelt, our premier brand.
Narrow wedge belts carry more power than classical V-belts of a similar width, so drives can use smaller pulleys and fewer belts. Optibelt SK belts run at around 97% efficiency and are made to Optibelt’s S=C PLUS standard, so belts of the same size can be used together as a set without measuring and matching.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 8V1900. The letters are the section and the number is the effective length in tenths of an inch, so 8V1900 is 190″. Measure 25.4mm across the top and 23mm deep.
- 8V belts are an American standard and aren’t interchangeable with metric SPZ, SPB or SPC belts, even though the widths are close.
