Measuring Your Belt
Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked AT10-1050-10 (or AT10 1050 10). 1050 is the pitch length in mm and 10 the width in mm.
- If the marking has worn off, count the teeth: this belt has 105. Multiply by 10mm to get the pitch length.
- AT10 belts have a larger, stronger tooth than T10 and need AT10 pulleys; they won’t run on T10 pulleys.
Not quite the right size? The nearest sizes in this width are AT10-1010-10 and AT10-1080-10. Not sure? Call 020 8138 2848 and we’ll help you find the right belt.
