Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

The Optibelt Alpha Power DT5-460-25 is a double-sided T5 polyurethane timing belt with a 5mm pitch, a 460mm pitch length, 92 teeth on each side and a width of 25mm. It’s made by Optibelt, our premier brand.
It has teeth on both sides, so it can drive pulleys from either face.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked DT5-460-25 (or DT5 460 25); Dunlop/Medway mark double-sided belts T5-460-25 DD. 460 is the pitch length in mm and 25 the width in mm.
- If the marking has worn off, count the teeth: this belt has 92. Multiply by 5mm to get the pitch length.
- It runs on T5 pulleys. T5 and AT5 are not interchangeable.
