Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

XPB2840 Optibelt Super XE-Power Pro V-Belt
The Optibelt Super XE-Power Pro XPB2840 is an XPB section cogged raw-edge wedge belt, 16.3mm wide with a 2840mm pitch length. It fits the same pulleys as an SPB wedge belt and is made by Optibelt, our premier brand.
Super XE-Power Pro is one of Optibelt’s highest-performing belts. The moulded cogs and raw-edge sides let it run on very small pulleys, at high speeds and in extreme temperatures, with excellent grip and efficiency. It’s maintenance free and made to Optibelt’s M=S standard, so belts of the same size can be used together as a set without measuring and matching.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked XPB2840. The letters are the section and the number is the pitch length in mm. Measure 16.3mm across the top and 13mm deep.
- An Optibelt XPB2840 can replace a wrapped SPB2840 belt of the same length, and will usually run cooler and last longer. On multi-belt drives, change the whole set.
