PK ribbed belts
The most common ribbed belt, for vehicle engines, compressors, garden equipment and general machinery. PK belts have ribs spaced 3.56mm apart. Choose the number of ribs, or search by the code on your old belt, such as 6PK1200.
Choosing the right PK belt
Three things decide which PK belt you need: the section, the number of ribs and the length.
- Reading the code6PK1200 is 6 ribs, PK section, 1200mm long. The older inch code for the same belt is 472K6.
- Checking the sectionMeasure the width and divide by the number of ribs. If the answer is about 3.56mm, it’s a PK belt.
- Cut to orderBelts are cut to your rib count, so they can’t be returned unless faulty. Check the size before ordering, or call us to confirm.
Where PK belts are used
- Vehicle enginesAlternator, air con, power steering and water pump drives on cars, vans and trucks.
- Compressors & garden kitCompressors, mowers, generators and outdoor power equipment.
- General machineryIndustrial drives where a quiet, compact belt is needed.
Other ribbed sections
Not a PK? Measure the width, divide by the number of ribs, and match the answer to a section.
