Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

AX29 / 737 Megadyne Linea Gold V-Belt
The Megadyne Linea Gold AX29 is a premium AX section cogged raw-edge V-belt, 13mm wide with a 29″ (737mm) inside length. It fits the same pulleys as a classical A section belt, and is made by Megadyne, one of our two premium belt brands alongside Optibelt.
Linea Gold is Megadyne’s top-of-the-range raw-edge belt. It’s made from an EPDM rubber compound that stands up to heat, ozone, UV, ageing and chemically aggressive environments, and the moulded cogs let it run on small pulleys while staying cool. The raw-edge sides grip the pulley well and cut slip, saving energy and extending belt life.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked AX29, often with the length 800. The letters are the section and the number is the inside length in inches. Measure 13mm across the top and 8mm deep.
- If the markings have worn off, wrap a piece of string round the inside of the belt, mark it and measure the string. It should come to about 737mm.
- A Megadyne Linea Gold AX29 can replace a wrapped A29 belt or another brand’s AX29. On multi-belt drives, change the whole set.
