Timing belts Clamp plates

Linear drive clamps · Metric · Imperial

Timing belt clamp plates fix each end of an open length belt to a carriage, slide or door, so the belt can drive it in a straight line. The plate has teeth that mesh with the belt, so it grips without crushing the belt or letting it slip. Choose a plate that matches your belt’s profile and width.

Fitting tips

Match the profileThe plate’s teeth must match the belt profile exactly, such as T10, AT10 or 5M. A mismatched plate won’t hold.

Match the widthUse a plate at least as wide as the belt, so the full width is clamped.

Tension the beltFit both ends, then tension the belt evenly. Too loose and it can jump teeth; too tight and it wears the bearings.
