Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

AVX13x810 Optibelt Marathon X Automotive V-Belt
The Optibelt Marathon X AVX13x810 is an automotive V-belt, 13mm across the top, with an outside length of 810mm. It drives the alternator, water pump, fan or air conditioning compressor on cars, vans and engines.
Optibelt Marathon X replaces the Marathon 1. It’s made from EPDM, works from −40°C to +120°C, holds its tension with low stretch and runs quietly. It covers the same vehicles and original part numbers as the Marathon 1 and meets OE standards. Optibelt is our premier brand.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked AVX13x810 (or AVX 13 x 810). 13 is the top width in mm and 810 the outside length in mm, sometimes marked La.
- AVX belts are made for automotive pulleys. Don’t swap in an industrial belt of a similar size, such as ZX, XPZ, AX or XPA.
- If your old belt says Marathon 1, this is its direct replacement.
