Optibelt’s High Power range includes OMEGA HP timing belts, built to carry more power than standard HTD belts of the same width. They suit drives that need extra load capacity, longer life or a narrower belt, on machine tools, packaging machinery, pumps and conveyors. Search by the code on the old belt (High Power belts have HP in the code, such as 5MHP), and use the filters to narrow it down by pitch, length or width.

Is a High Power belt right for your drive?

Reading the codeHigh Power belts carry HP in the code, such as 5MHP for a 5mm pitch High Power belt. The length and width are given in millimetres, as on standard metric timing belts.

Upgrading a driveA High Power belt can carry more load than a standard belt of the same width, or let you use a narrower belt. Check pulley sizes and tension with us before redesigning a drive.

PulleysOMEGA HP belts use the round-tooth metric profile. Call us to confirm pulley compatibility for your drive, or see our metric timing pulleys.

Tip: Like-for-like is the safest swap. If the old belt has HP in the code, replace it with a High Power belt so the drive keeps its rated capacity.
