Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

The Megadyne A590 / A22 is an A section classical V-belt, 13mm wide, with a 590mm pitch length (559mm / 22″ inside length). Megadyne print the pitch length on the belt, so A590 is the number to look for. It’s a quality replacement belt for motors, pumps, fans, compressors, garden and agricultural machinery.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked A590 (the pitch length in mm) or A22 (the inside length in inches).
- Measure 13mm across the top and 8mm deep. If the markings have worn off, wrap a piece of string round the inside of the belt, mark it and measure the string. It should come to about 559mm.
