Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

The SPA85/4 is a 4-groove SPA taper lock pulley with a 85mm pitch diameter. It runs SPA wedge belts and A (13mm) classical V-belts.
It takes a 1215 taper lock bush, which takes shafts from 11mm to 32mm in standard metric bores. The bush is sold separately: choose a 1215 bush in your shaft size and the pulley can be fitted and removed without machining.
It’s made from cast iron (EN-GJL-200) with grooves to ISO 4183 and DIN 2211, black phosphated against corrosion, and statically balanced for belt speeds up to 35m/s.

Check it’s the right pulley
- The old pulley should be marked SPA85/4 or SPA 85 x 4, and the bush 1215.
- Measure across the outside of the rim: about 90.5mm. The pitch diameter is smaller because it’s measured where the belt sits in the groove.
- Check your belts are SPA (or the matching classical section) and you need 4 grooves.
