PL ribbed belts
Larger ribs for heavier industrial drives, pumps, fans and agricultural machinery. PL belts have ribs spaced 4.70mm apart. Choose the number of ribs, or search by the code on your old belt, such as 8PL1600.
Choosing the right PL belt
Three things decide which PL belt you need: the section, the number of ribs and the length.
- Reading the code8PL1600 is 8 ribs, PL section, 1600mm long. The older inch code for the same belt is 630L8.
- Checking the sectionMeasure the width and divide by the number of ribs. If the answer is about 4.70mm, it’s a PL belt.
- Cut to orderBelts are cut to your rib count, so they can’t be returned unless faulty. Check the size before ordering, or call us to confirm.

- Industrial drivesMachine tools, pumps and fans that need more power than a PK belt.
- Agricultural machineryMowers, balers and other farm machinery drives.
