Timing belts Open length · Polyurethane metric

Metric · Polyurethane · Steel or aramid cord

Polyurethane open length timing belting in metric profiles, cut to the length you need. Polyurethane belting has steel or aramid tension cords for very low stretch, so it holds its position accurately on linear actuators, positioning drives, conveyors and packaging machines. It also resists oil, grease and abrasion better than rubber.

Metric profiles at a glance

Profile Tooth pitch Typical uses
T2.5 / T5 / T10 / T20 2.5 to 20mm Precise linear drives and conveying
AT5 / AT10 / AT20 5 to 20mm Stiffer, stronger teeth for higher loads and accurate positioning
HTD / RPP PU 5mm and 8mm Polyurethane versions of round tooth HTD profiles

Reading the code: T10-25 is a T10 profile (10mm pitch), 25mm wide. T and AT profiles look similar but aren’t interchangeable, so check the pulley profile before ordering.

Choosing the cord

Steel cordThe usual choice for precise positioning, with very low stretch under load.

Aramid cordLighter and resistant to corrosion, for damp conditions and where the belt flexes round small pulleys.

Need it coated or cleated?Call us if you need belting with a coated backing or cleats for conveying, and we’ll check what we can supply.

  • What we needThe profile, the belt width and the length you need. The profile and width are usually printed on the back of the belt.
  • No markings?Measure the distance between teeth and the belt width. Our how to measure guide shows you how.
  • Still not sure?Call 020 8138 2848 with the machine details or a photo of the belt and we’ll find the right one.
