Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

The Optibelt Truck Power RBK is a high-performance EPDM ribbed belt for the ancillary drives on commercial vehicles and buses: alternators, water pumps, air compressors and power steering. Its flexibility saves space around the engine, and it keeps running quietly and securely through dust, moisture and extreme temperatures.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 10PK1768 TM (or 10 PK 1768, or 10K1768). 10 is the number of ribs, PK the profile and 1768 the effective length in mm.
- Count the ribs across the underside of the old belt: this one has 10. The second picture shows how to count them.
- Check the rib pitch: PK ribs are 3.56mm apart. A belt with the wrong profile won’t seat in the pulley grooves.
