Measuring Your Belt
Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

8/3V560 Optibelt Kraftband V-Belt
The Optibelt Kraftband 8/3V560 is a 8-band 3V section banded V-belt with a 1422mm (56″) effective length. It runs in 8 adjacent 3V pulley grooves and is made by Optibelt in Germany, our premier brand.
Kraftbands are made from high-quality wrapped V-belts joined by a tough tie band across the top. That stops individual belts turning over or jumping off the pulleys, so they’re the answer for drives with heavy shock loads, long centre distances, vertical shafts or vibration.

Check it’s the right belt
- The old belt should be marked 8/3V 560 or 8-3V560. The first number is how many bands. The letters are the section and the number is the effective length in tenths of an inch, so 3V560 is 56″. These are American narrow sizes and aren’t interchangeable with metric SPZ, SPB or SPC belts.
- Count the grooves on the pulley and check the pulley groove spacing suits a Kraftband. Kraftbands need pulleys with standard groove spacing.
- Each band is 9.5mm across the top. Measure one band, not the whole belt.
