Check the markings first. Most belts have their size printed on the back, for example A24, SPZ1000 or 8PK1200. Type that code into the search bar to find the exact match.
Markings worn off? Measure across the top of the belt for the width, and its depth. For the length, wrap a piece of string round the belt, mark where it meets, then lay the string flat and measure it.
Timing or ribbed belt? Count the teeth or ribs, and measure the gap between them.

A replacement variable speed drive belt for Bridgeport milling machines, Bridgeport part number 1-18-2120 (2J668). It’s the belt that runs between the motor and spindle pulleys on the Bridgeport variable speed head, where the pulleys open and close to change the spindle speed without stopping the machine.
It’s made by Bando to the original specification as a Flexten Power variable speed belt, built to grip the moving pulley faces evenly across the whole speed range and to resist the heat and wear of constant speed changes.

Is this a genuine Bridgeport part?
No. It’s a Bando replacement made to the original specification. It carries Bando’s markings rather than the Bridgeport part number.
Will it fit my Bridgeport?
It suits machines that use belt 1-18-2120 (2J668) on the variable speed head. Bridgeport heads changed over the years, and step pulley heads use a different belt, so check the part number in your manual or on the old belt. If you’re not sure, call us with the head type and serial number.
Anything to watch when fitting it?
Set the speed to its lowest setting before you remove the old belt, as this opens the motor pulley and gives the most slack. Make sure the new belt sits fully in the pulley grooves, then run the speed through its range with the motor running to check it changes smoothly.
