The EPDM rubber compound stands up to heat and ageing better than conventional rubber, for a longer service life, and the Helicord tension cord keeps the belt’s length stable under load. Like all Megadyne PV belts, it flexes around small pulleys and runs quietly with low vibration.

Specification

Brand and range

Megadyne PV EPDM Helicord

Profile

PK

Number of ribs

6

Rib pitch

3.56mm

Effective length

650mm (25.6″)

Belt width

about 21.4mm

Construction

EPDM rubber, Helicord tension cord

Availability

Made to order, 2 to 3 weeks from Italy

Check it’s the right belt

The old belt should be marked 6PK650 (or 6 PK 650, or 6K650). 6 is the number of ribs, PK the profile and 650 the effective length in mm.

Count the ribs across the underside of the old belt: this one has 6.

Check the rib pitch: PK ribs are 3.56mm apart.
